OSHKOSH, WI – (WGBW & WISS) – The City of Oshkosh is asking residents for feedback on the city’s parking policy. The online survey specifically focuses on overnight parking restrictions.

The City of Oshkosh prohibits parking on city streets between the hours of 2:00 am and 5:00 am, year-round. The rule is designed to allow for snow plowing, street sweeping, and garbage pickup to continue efficiently. Tickets for parking on the street over night start at $30.

Oshkosh does offer permits for overnight parking on some city streets for $10 a month or $120 a year. Residents can also ask for permission to park overnight for up to three times per month.

The Oshkosh Common Council asked city staff to conduct the survey. It will use the results to craft future parking policy changes.
