Wildfire danger around Wisconsin is high to very high. Catherine Koele (COOL-ee) is the DNR’s Wildfire Prevention Specialist. She notes many people are preparing their properties for the upcoming deer season.

Exhaust sparks can easily start a fire in dry grass and brush.

Koele says there are steps you can take to lessen the risks of starting a fire.

For the most current fire danger situation, search “wisburn” on the DNR home page.
