GREEN BAY, WI- (WGBW) – Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach; the students, staff, and faculty of Syble Hopp School; and Brown County employees came together for some holiday cheer on Wednesday as the first in-person Holiday Tree Decorating and Caroling celebration since the COVID-19 pandemic was held in the Brown County Northern Building’s lobby.
“Each year at the Northern Building, we invite the Syble Hopp school to come down and help us decorate the tree that we have here in the front lobby,” said Streckenbach. “It’s an awesome opportunity that brings the lights and the spirit (of the holiday) alive.”
Santa Claus also made an appearance!
“Ho! Ho! Ho!,” he laughed. “Merry Christmas, kids!”
The tree was decorated with ornaments made by Syble Hopp students.
Syble Hopp School is a public school funded through Brown County that provides educational programming for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities between the ages of 3 and 21.
