WAUTOMA, Wis (WAUH) – A woman stopped for speeding by Wautoma Police may have frequently transported drugs through the area.
Ashley Schwabe was stopped Sunday for going 49 miles an hour in a 25 mile an hour speed zone. During the traffic stop, police found more than 120 grams of cocaine and marijuana in the vehicle.
She admitted to investigators she had transported drugs through Waushara County over 100 times in the past. She said it was the first time she had been stopped during the 10-hour round trip.
Charges were referred to the Waushara County District Attorney’s Office for possession of cocaine and marijuana.
